Thomas Lucius Coleman Sr. peacefully passed away on March 7th at the age of 86. Thomas was known by his friends and family as Tom or Tommy. Tommy was born on June 20, 1936 in Roswell, GA to the parents of Arthur and Willie Mae Coleman.
Tommy graduated from Roswell High School, where he lettered in football. Out of high school he began working at Roswell Seating company, it was there that he would meet the prettiest girl he had ever seen. Ella would remain the love of his life, married for over 65 years. Tom was very active at the Roswell First Baptist Church where he Ushered for over 20 years. He enjoyed sharing his family history with others. Tom was a humble man who was very proud and loved his family. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and in later years feeding his birds. Thomas is survived by his wife Ella, daughters Beverly Gann, Teresa Millsaps, Rhonda & David Harman, son Thomas Jr. and Tammy Coleman, 10 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. A memorial service to remember Thomas will be held on Sunday, March 12 at 1pm. Family will be receiving visitation Friday and Saturday, March 10 & 11 from 6-8pm at Northside Chapel, 12050 Crabapple Rd. Roswell, GA 30075. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Roswell First Baptist Church.
