Obituary

Thomas Joseph Pappagallo Jr.—beloved husband, father, son and brother—went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2026, at age 46. As a man led by faith and dedicated to family, Tom used his knowledge, talents and strengths to serve those around him.

Tom prioritized spending quality time with his dear wife, Sintya, and their daughter, Liliana, often through outdoor activities like hiking and mountain biking. He and Sintya enjoyed being part of a multicultural community, sharing travel experiences, and building a home full of love and support.

Thrilled to become a father, Tom treasured every moment spent with Liliana, whether working on crafts, dancing, helping her with schoolwork, reading together or listening to her musical growth with the violin. He never missed a chance to have fun and dress in costume with her—even willing to dress as a man from the 1800s for a recent daddy-daughter dance.

Tom was born on May 29, 1980, to Thomas and Regina Pappagallo, in Warwick, Rhode Island. He earned a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering and built a career leading large-scale automation projects and technology programs, applying his knowledge and leadership skills to create advanced systems that improved the lives of those around him. As he saw it, he built "to help others win."

Appreciating simple joys in life, Tom used his free time to read, create, cultivate and repair. He always had a project ready in his backyard workshop, whether hand-carving a welcome sign for his friends' house or building a storage solution for his own. He was driven to figure things out, seeking the most effective ways to tend the family garden and make broken items function again.

Tom will be remembered for his kindness, joyfulness and willingness to help others. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work and service that will continue to inspire those who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Sintya Pappagallo; his daughter, Liliana Pappagallo; his parents, Thomas Pappagallo Sr. and Regina Pappagallo; his sister, Melanie Pappagallo-Smith; his nephews, Austin and Andrew Smith; his uncles, Frederick Pappagallo, Michael Pappagallo Jr. and Rodney McClaren; his mother-in-law, Valeria Moreira; along with many cousins and friends.
