Tyler Bernard Williams was born on May 26, 2006, in Pelham, Alabama, to his loving parents Tony and TaJuana Williams. He was called home on April 16, 2026, to be with the Lord.
Tyler's educational journey began at Valley Elementary School in Pelham, Alabama, and continued at Alpharetta Elementary School in Alpharetta, Georgia. He attended Northwestern Middle School in Milton, Georgia, where he played the saxophone in the school band. Tyler went on to attend Milton High School in Milton, Georgia, where he graduated as a proud member of the Class of 2024. He is remembered there not only for his academic dedication but also for his commitment to athletics.
At the time of his passing, Tyler was a sophomore at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia, pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Tyler was a Christian, a young man of faith, and a member of St. James Community Church in Alpharetta, Georgia, where he was confirmed and baptized as part of the Class of 2020. His faith and values were reflected in the way he carried himself and treated others.
As part of his confirmation at St. James Community Church, Tyler received the David Award, an honor given to individuals who exemplify outstanding character, leadership, and commitment to their community. He was selected for this recognition because of his integrity, dedication, and the positive impact he had on those around him.
Tyler had a wide range of interests and talents. He was passionate about Track & Field, specializing in shot put and discus, and proudly earned recognition as a Most Improved Athlete and later served as Track & Field Captain at Milton High School. He also earned a varsity letter in Track & Field during his time on the team from 2021 to 2024. Not only was Tyler a dedicated athlete, but he also excelled in his studies, earning the Georgia HOPE Scholarship for his strong academic performance.
He was a devoted Alabama Crimson Tide fan—always ready with a spirited "Roll Tide!" Tyler loved collecting Pokémon cards, playing video games, listening to music of all kinds, specifically hip hop and old school music. He had a special appreciation for the song "Happy Feelings" by Maze. He was a gifted artist who loved expressing himself through art. Tyler also enjoyed cooking and baking and took pride in sharing his culinary creations with others. Tyler was a true foodie who enjoyed exploring new restaurants and trying different cuisines at his parents' expense. 😊
Tyler gained valuable work experience through his roles at Ace Hardware, Surcheros Fresh Mex, and as a Night Owl with Kennesaw State University, where he helped set up campus events.
Known for his humble and kind nature, Tyler was thoughtful, loving, and protective of those he cared about. He had a quiet strength, a strong work ethic, and a studious mindset. Though he had a calm and quiet demeanor, Tyler had a witty sense of humor that would often catch people by surprise. Even as a little boy, he brought laughter to those around him in his own unique way, often joking, "Which one of you flatfoots stole my lollipock!"
Tyler leaves to cherish his memory: his father, Tony Bernard Williams, Sr.; his mother, TaJuana Gammage Williams; his brother, Tony Bernard Williams, Jr.; his sister, Tierra (Marcus) Spates, and his beloved family pet and loyal companion, Theo Williams, his adored Yorkie.
He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Lillie Mae Harper, and his maternal grandparents, Cleo Garner, Jr. and Carolyn Gammage Garner.
In addition, Tyler leaves a large circle of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Coley Robinson; paternal great-grandmother, Janie Mae Alford, and his maternal great-grandparents, Nemiah Gammage and Bernice Strong Gammage.
Though his time with us was brief, Tyler's life left a lasting imprint on everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his kindness, warmth, and the joy he brought into our lives and the lives of others.
