Celebrating the Life of Vinay Kanti Patel

Vinay Patel, 50, of Augusta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, after fighting cancer with extraordinary courage, strength, and grace for nearly three years.

Vinay was born on October 20, 1974, in Prince George's County, Maryland. He grew up surrounded by love and a sense of community, values that would guide him throughout his life. After graduating from Lakeside High School in 1992, Vinay followed his passion for learning—studying History at the University of Georgia and Finance at Augusta State University.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Ishverdas and Kashiben Patel, Somabhai and Laksmiben Patel. He is survived by his devoted parents, Kanti and Vimla Patel; his brother, Alpesh; sister-in-law, Pinal; and his cherished nieces, Sana and Anna. He also leaves behind a large extended family and countless friends who were blessed to know him.

Vinay was the friend who always showed up—no matter what. He gave his love freely, his time without question, and his loyalty without limits. His humor could light up any room. With just a few words, he could ease hearts and bring laughter where it was needed most. Vinay made every person he interacted with feel safe, valued, and seen. He lived with heart, and he loved with his whole being.

Though he left us far too soon, Vinay's spirit will continue to shine through the lives he touched. The warmth of his smile, the sound of his laugh, and the kindness he shared will live on in all of us.
A funeral service to honor Vinay's life will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 2:30 PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Home in Roswell, Georgia.

Immediately after the service, family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life and dinner from 5:30PM to 7:30PM at the home of Alpesh Patel, 355 Laurel Heights, Suwanee, GA 30024, to share stories, memories, and love.
