Wayne Allen Ray was born on June 4, 1942 and passed on July 5, 2023 at our house in Roswell, GA. He was 81 years old. He graduated from City College and attended Johns Hopkins McCoy College. Wayne also served six years in the Navy as a tin can sailor aboard the USS Ault as a radar man and a Petty Officer.

His passions and work were all about cars. His latest dream car was his 2021 Zeus Bronze C8 Corvette Z51, which he let PJ think it was hers too.

As a Corvette enthusiast he spent many years going to the Notional Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. In 1989 he became a Founding Member and in 1991 a Lifetime Member.

He is survived by his wife PJ, his son Rick and his wife Heidi and their sons Kyle and Nick, his sister Lorraine and her daughter Liza and her husband John and their new baby girl Melody.

A service will be held graveside at the Georgia National Cemetery, 2023 Mount Carmel Church Lane, Canton Georgia. The service will be on July 24 2023 at 10:00 A.M.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to The American Cancer Society of Georgia, 3380 Chastain Meadows Pkwy. Kennesaw, Georgia.
