William Alvin Jordan, of Alpharetta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on July 10, 1941 to Odell Lacey Jordan and Majorie Anne Broadwell Jordan, William was a proud graduate of Roswell High School and a veteran of the United States Navy, where he served his country with quiet strength and dignity.
A man of deep faith and enduring kindness, William was a longtime member of Willeo Baptist Church, where he sang joyfully in the choir and offered steadfast support to his community. He put his loved ones first, dedicating his time and energy to supporting and enriching their lives. His dry wit and warm sense of humor endeared him to all who knew him, and his unwavering presence provided comfort and strength to family and friends alike.
William had a deep appreciation for the beauty of the world, and treasured his opportunity to travel with loved ones to places such as Pearl Harbor, Yosemite, Yellowstone, and numerous forts and historical sites. These journeys reflected his curious spirit and love of history and nature.
He was the beloved husband of Brenda; supportive brother to Hoyt and Harry, devoted father to Karla and Brian; cherished father-in-law to Rana; and proud grandfather to Mia and Tessa. He was also a treasured uncle, friend, and neighbor whose legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of many. William's life was a quiet testament to service, faith, and family. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, May 20th at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors and Crematory at 12050 Crabapple Rd., Roswell, GA 30075 with family receiving friends from 12:00 - 1:00 PM and the service beginning at 1:00 PM. Gravesite interment will take place at Green Lawn Cemetery at 10993 Alpharetta Hwy., Roswell, GA 30076 following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of William Jordan.
