Pierce, William
April 2, 1938 - September 16, 2024
With sorrow but enduring love, we announce the passing of William "Bill" O. Pierce, a cherished husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He parted at the age of 86 in Roswell, GA, on Monday, September 16, 2024.
Born in Hayneville, Alabama, Bill's life was a testament to resilience and love. In his early years, he was a football player at Verbena High School but transferred to Chilton County High School his senior year to be near the love of his life, Sandra. He later attended the University of Miami and was a die-hard Hurricanes fan ever after. From age 22, Bill owned his own businesses for over 40 years. He was an avid fisherman, a decorated salesman, and a devoted husband and father. As an intrepid traveler, Bill proudly saw 67 countries in his lifetime. Always quick with a grin and a joke, he brought smiles wherever he went.
Bill is survived by his wife of 67 years, Sandra, his daughters Daphne (Albert) and Amanda (Wayne), his six grandchildren, Trey, Pierce, Gabrielle, Angelo, Jeannie (Josh), and Sabrina, and his great-granddaughter Collins. While our hearts are broken, we find solace in his long, fulfilling life and his final years surrounded by loved ones.
The family will receive visitors at 10:00 a.m., followed immediately by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, at Northside Chapel in Roswell, GA. There will be a reception and lunch following the funeral at noon. The private family interment will be held at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens in Snellville, GA.
