Mrs. Veronica Genito

Mrs. Veronica Genito, age 60, of Milton, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. Veronica was born on August 2, 1962 in Staten Island, New York, the daughter of Herta Brasowski and the late Igor Brasowski. In 1969, Veronica and her family moved to Norwood, New Jersey, where she enjoyed playing outside with her neighbors and friends. She had her first job at the age of sixteen where she met her life-long best friend. She was a hard worker and a team player, but also made a point of enjoying life. In fact, on most Thursday nights you could find Veronica and her best friend dancing at the Holidome in Suffern, New York. In 1982, Veronica met Anthony (Tony) Genito, the love of her life, and they were married two years later. They were blessed with three daughters: Stephanie, Gabrielle, and Jacqueline. Veronica and Tony loved each other deeply and enjoyed sharing precious moments and adventures together; their love set an idyllic example. Veronica was a bright light with a beautiful and vibrant spirit. She was a loving and caring friend and was always there to lend support to those who needed her. She loved art and music and enjoyed sharing both her talents and impeccable taste. She sang to David Cassidy and danced to Donna Summer. She was constantly working on crafts and projects for friends and family, and she was always ready, willing, and able to roll up her sleeves and help turn a design dream into reality. Her list of projects, like herself, was inexhaustible. Veronica loved to travel. She enjoyed any adventure, whether it was going to the movies, a museum, a hike up a mountain, or a picnic in an apple orchard. Of all the places she visited, her favorite was Italy because she loved the historic art and architecture of Rome and the scenic villas and lush gardens of Lake Como. She loved nature and had a talent for gardening and landscape design. She also enjoyed swimming and being athletic, and she instilled her passion for fitness in all three of her daughters. Veronica was a patient and nurturing mother who was always there. She made and packed awesome lunches and was always busy chauffeuring them to one of their many activities; whether it was dance, soccer, lacrosse, skating, choir, modeling, or Girl Scouts. She volunteered as a class mother where she chaperoned on class trips, assisted in serving hot lunches, and headed up the school yearbook committee. She made snow forts, mixtapes, and tremendous desserts and hosted a legendary annual Oktoberfest. She appreciated lounging poolside with friends with an occasional afternoon Diet Coke, or sometimes with a glass of wine. She was a daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother, and an impeccably strong woman. She lived and taught gratitude and compassion: Veronica was a generous, kind soul who was always there to help those in need. Her legacy, memory, and influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. Veronica is survived by her husband Anthony of Milton, Georgia, and three loving daughters: Stephanie, of New York, New York, Gabrielle, of Nashville, Tennessee, and Jacqueline (Bjorn) Hornikel, of Birmingham, Alabama, her mother, Herta Brasowski, of Alpharetta, Georgia, and her brother, Leon Brasowski, of Gillette, New Jersey. A memorial service to celebrate and honor the life of Veronica will be held at a future date to be determined.
