Mr. Bobby Kenneth McClain

Bobby Kenneth McClain, 87, of Canton, GA Born on March 1, 1935, and died on December 17, 2022. Bobby was a lover of life! He loved his wife more than words can express. Their love story was like no other, lasting 67 years. Becoming a father was another one of the great moments in his life. He loved his children and was an incredible daddy to all three.! Eventually, he became GranBobby to his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild! Bobby was a humble soul. Often quiet, he displayed the love of Christ to all he met! One of his greatest gifts was making people laugh. His caring and compassionate nature drew people to him. He loved big and he loved no matter what. Bobby retired from Fulton County Board of Education where he taught high school History for 31 years. He was a coach, a youth leader, a mentor, and a friend to many! Bobby was a devoted Christian and his life reflected his love for Jesus. He attended Woodstock City Church, in Woodstock, GA. Bobby is survived by his wife Margaret Susan McClain of Canton, GA Sister-In-Law, Mary Jo Howell of Roswell, GA Daughter, Alicia Sharpton, and husband Gary Sharpton of Southport, FL Son, Kenneth McClain of Canton, GA Grandchildren: Blake Sharpton of White House, TN, Casey Sharpton (Devin Medlin) of Nashville, TN, Hannah Hatfield (Emily Hatfield) of Colorado Springs, CO., Ashley Ward of Ballground, GA, Dale Ward (Jennifer Ward) of Kennesaw, GA, Rhiannon Ward of Russellville, KY. Great Grandchildren: Makayla Smith (Julius Howard) and Brandon Smith of Canton, GA., Cade Sharpton and Kenzie Sharpton of White House, TN., Breyle Honeycutt, Endy Medlin, Sutly Medlin, and Zayuh Medlin all of Nashville, TN. Paxton Hatfield of Colorado Springs, CO, Gracie Campbell, Kylee Campbell, and Haley Campbell all of Canton, TN., Cole and Dale Ward of Kennesaw, GA, and Bryson Great Great Grandchild, Kairee Howard of Canton, GA He is preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Jo McClain, Son-in-law, Dale Ward, his parents, John and Lucile McClain and his 5 siblings and their husbands. Visitation will be held on December 21 at 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (ET) Visitation will be held on December 22 at 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on December 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors & Crematory. Internment will be at Rucker Family Cemetery in Alpharetta, GA. Flowers or Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
