Rev . Carl D. Jameson

Carl D. Jameson went peacefully to be with the Lord September 7, 2014 surrounded by his family. Carl, 84, will be remembered most for his love of God, selflessness, generous nature, kind heart, and love and devotion to his family. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruth Chambers Jameson, daughters Debbie and Danny Tippens, Connie and Larry Woltz and son Rick and Cindy Jameson, grandchildren, Wes Blackwood (Lisa) of Macon, GA; Blake Woltz (Michelle) of Canton, GA; Steven Blackwood (Sara) of Milwaukee, WI; Erica Rivers (Jonathan) of Canton, GA and Spencer Jameson (Jordan) of Nashville, TN, great-grandchildren Carly and Sadie Blackwood, Anniston and Tyson Rivers. Carl was an avid baseball player growing up in North Fulton and he never lost that competitive spirit. He enjoyed the Braves, Dawgs football and Yellow Jackets baseball. He was an avid golfer. Carl was also a successful business man. Whether at work, or on the ball field or golf course, Carl used every opportunity to share Christ. For over fifty years, Carl, with his wife Ruth, pastored the following churches: Crabapple First Baptist, Waleska First Baptist, Antioch Baptist, Willeo Baptist, Union Hill Baptist and Atlanta Street Baptist. As “pastor” he was an inspiration to all, faithfully fulfilling the role of pastor through his countless hours of mentoring, visiting, counseling, and praying; all because of his love for Christ and others. Carl accepted his calling to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and he did so faithfully. Heaven will only record the impact he has had on the thousands he has witnessed to during his ministry. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to "The Mission Programs" in his memory at Atlanta Street Baptist Church, 340 South Atlanta Street, Roswell, GA 30075. Visitation will be Thursday, September 11, 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Northside Chapel, 12050 Crabapple Rd., Roswell, GA. A Celebration of Carl Jameson's life will take place 2:00 p.m. Friday September 12, 2014 at Crabapple First Baptist Church in Milton, GA. Carl Jameson was a very humble, hardworking individual, devoted to his wife and family, while being faithful to God's calling and his congregations. We know God has wrapped his loving arms around Carl and said “Well done thou good and faithful servant”.
