Christine Evans

Christine K. Evans, 63, of Alpharetta died Friday, August 6, 2010 at her home following an extended illness. Born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of Clifford and Louise Kuhn, currently residing in Cape Coral, Florida. Chris was a graduate of Bucknell University. She was a professional travel planner, who owned and operated her own business, Travel Management Services. In addition, she had served as the chief operating officer of Ross & Babcock Travel in Indianapolis, Indiana, and travel planner with Carefree Travel in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. She was also an accomplished musician having majored in voice in college. She shared her talent by serving as Director of Music in three Pennsylvania churches, most notably St. John’s United Church of Christ in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. She also taught piano and served in a variety of roles in support of church music programs. She was an Elder at the Roswell Presbyterian Church in Roswell, Georgia. Chris was a dedicated mother and grandmother and will be remembered as someone who was kind and gentle, always putting her family first. Her other great love was travel and she had seen much of the world. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Chris is survived by her husband, Charles R. Evans of Alpharetta, her daughter Lisa Beech of Roswell, Georgia, her son Eric Anderson of La Mesa, California, and her step-daughter Julie Kasten of Dover, Delaware; six grandchildren, Jordan Beech, Hannah Kasten, Lauren Beech, Josephine Anderson, Connor Beech and Jack Anderson; and a brother, Dan Kuhn of Brainerd, Minnesota and a sister, Cindy Mariani of Cape Coral, Florida. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Roswell Presbyterian Church. A reception following the service will be held at the Evans home, 14925 East Bluff Road, Alpharetta, GA. The family requests that donations in lieu of flowers be made to the Roswell Presbyterian Church Children’s Music Fund. Arrangements were made by Northside Chapel Funeral Home in Roswell, GA.
