Eli Rhys Manus

Eli Rhys Manus, age 10, of Milton, passed away Sunday, February 9th, 2020. He is survived by his parents, Eugene and Cristina Manus, his brother, Ben Nathan Manus, Maternal Grandparents, Benedicto and Nora Fabricante, Paternal Grandparents, Humberto and Caludia Manus, Great Grandmother, Paz Fabricante, Aunts and Uncles- Elena (Gian) Zayco, Uncle, Joeffrey Namalata, Aunt, Claudette Manus, Uncles and Aunts, Robert (Elizabeth) Manus and Jerry Paul (Mellissande) Manus. Eli was preceded in death by his aunt, Dina Namalata and his sister Emma Rose. Eli was born August 4, 2009, from his conception to his death, he has been a miracle, a conqueror and a warrior. To his parents he is a joy, to his friends an inspiration. He may have Aicardi Goutierez Syndrome Type 7 but that never limited him and defined his short presence here on earth. He was a 4th grade student at Alpharetta Elementary School, enjoyed and looked forward to his therapies each day in the afternoons, played SoftBall on Saturdays with his North Metro Miracle League buddies and on Sundays loved to spend sometime knowing Jesus with his UpStreet family at NorthPoint Community Church. Apart from that Eli enjoyed being with his Filipino community, he is a constant guest to parties and gatherings. He was a wanderlust who loves to see places, a traveler of God’s beautiful places locally and internationally. In his medically frail body, Eli always exudes grace that no one would even imagine that he is battling a very terrible syndrome that could give him so much pain and discomfort. Confined in his wheel chair and non verbal, He was always, calm, quiet, composed and mindful to the people around him. He is an amazing warrior child even until he held God’s loving hand to his eternal place in heaven. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, February 14th 2020 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. A meal of condolence will be served at the church following the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 13th from 4 to 8 PM at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, February 15 2020 at North Point Community Church in the Attic. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to www.agsamericas.org. in support for research in finding cure to Aicardi Goutieres Syndrome.
