God saw the load getting heavy, the hill too hard to climb. He gently closed her weary eyes and whispered, “Peace be Thine.” As the angel of death walked among the earthly inhabitants, he stopped at the bedside at North Fulton Hospital of Mrs. Judith Jennifer Rocke Waterman, and found her in great pain. Realizing that she had lived a very productive and rewarding life, he felt that she should begin the journey with him to his eternal home. On Wednesday, January 10, 2007 around 11:15am, God called her home. Judith Jennifer Rocke Waterman, the daughter of the late Solomon Rocke and Doris Hoare Rocke, was born in Belize City, Belize on August 7, 1946. She was educated in Belize at Rocke’s Private School and Wesley College. She traveled to London, England where she graduated as a concert pianist from the Guildhall school of music. She loved to travel and migrated to New York City where she attended Elizabeth Seaton College and Pace University, and work as a banker. Later, she began and outstanding career with AT&T who brought her to Atlanta, Georgia. After retiring from AT&T she started working for AIG (American International Group) until she became ill. Judith was an ardent musician whom loved opera and had a flair for life. Before leaving Belize, she enriched the lives of many individuals with her music. She operated a studio where she trained many piano students. She also served as the organist at Wesley Methodist Church in Belize City. She surrounded her life with music as she marched to the tune of her own drum. She was a loving mother who was totally dedicated to her boys. She leaves to mourn their loss but to gain solace and comfort from their memories, her husband, Frederick Waterman, her two sons, Dwayne Waterman of Woodstock, Georgia, and Sean Waterman of Charleston, South Carolina, her sister Betty Brown and husband, Roy of Brooklyn, New York, her brother, Dennis Rocke of Newark, New Jersey, two nieces, a nephew, a special cousin, Emma Hoare Jackson of Wilmington, North Carolina, and numerous other cousins and relatives.
