Mrs. Linda Ann Halpin

Linda Ann Halpin, 59 years old, of Roswell, Georgia passed away very peacefully Monday, March 23, with her husband, Michael J. Halpin; her son, Michael and daughter, Sarah, by her side. Linda was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer only 4 weeks prior to her passing. Although Linda fought a courageous battle to prolong her life, in order to be there for her family, God called her home sooner than we expected. Linda’s entire family is relieved that she is no longer suffering and is at peace with her Lord Jesus, along with her mother, Marie M. Colang, her father, Floyd C. Colang, and her brother, Floyd K. Colang who were all reunited in Heaven again. Linda was born in Providence Rhode Island, on April 17, 1955, and moved to Syracuse, NY, where she grew up and met her devoted, loving, and compassionate husband, Michael J. Halpin at age 14. They decided to take their friendship to the next level and began their loving relationship at age 19 (Linda), and 20 (Michael). Linda and Michael were married in September 1976 and moved to Roswell in 1982, where they decided to start their family. Linda was employed with Hewlett-Packard (HP) for the past 30 years as an executive administrator. Linda was held in high regard by all she came in contact with at HP. Linda was a proud mother of a son, Michael F. Halpin (30), who is a Sergeant with Fulton County’s Sheriff’s Department; and her daughter, Sarah M. Halpin (25), who will be graduating with her master’s in Speech Language Pathology, this July 25. Her children were her absolute pride and joy. Linda was a devoted Christian whose passions were her family and gardening. She would do anything for anybody, especially for family. Whenever and however many times family needed something, Linda was always there at the drop of a hat. She was the closest example Of God’s perfect and unconditional love on Earth. She was the most selfless, caring, giving, compassionate, positive, and devoted wife, mother, aunt, sister, sister-in-law, friend, colleague and stranger who was always smiling no matter what. She always saw the good, and never the bad in every single person. All who knew her say how blessed they were to have known a woman like her. If anyone deserves to leave this Earth early to be in a perfect, beautiful Heaven, it is our sweet Linda. She never met a stranger, and cared and loved for others as if they were her own family. Linda was truly an angel on Earth. Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but we are all so blessed to have known Linda for the time we shared together on Earth with her. Linda is survived by her husband, Michael J. Halpin; her son, Michael F. Halpin; her daughter, Sarah M. Halpin; her sisters, Amy J. Racht, Cheryl M. Colang, Mary A. (Mike) Hilcoske, and Rita (Terry) Houtchens; her brothers, Daniel L. (Linda) Colang, John E. Colang, and Tommy F. Colang; and by a number of nieces and nephews.
