Lisa Parker Clock, a cherished individual known for their kind, loving, caring, and humorous personality, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2024 in Roswell, GA. Born on January 26, 1962. Lisa lived a life filled with creativity, love and admiration for those around her, as well as several business, academic and athletic accomplishments. She is survived by her husband, Alan Clock and daughters and future son in law, Addison Clock and Robert Bible of Brookhaven, GA, Parker Clock of Dunwoody, GA, mother and father, Shelby Jean and Terry Parker of Roswell,GA, Aunt, Charlotte Parks of Atlanta, GA and Uncle and Aunt Larry and Cheryl Parks of Woodstock, GA, brother and sister in law Scott and Sandy Parker of Jasper, GA, sister and brother in law Martha and Robert Clock of Urbandale, IA, nieces and nephews Jason Clock (Kerri) of Basehor, KS, Samantha (Trae) Wren of Gainesville, GA, Shannon (Jordan) Martin of Gainesville, GA, great nieces and nephews, Bailey Parker, Bennett Martin, Molly Clock, Gabriel Martin, Clara Clock and Arabella Wren, whose lives were greatly enriched by Lisa's presence. Her departure leaves an unfillable void in their lives, yet they find comfort in the memories and everlasting love they shared. Lisa was an esteemed alumni of Roswell High School, graduating in 1980. She was a shining example of how to think of others, a value that was central to their character. Her school years were marked by her athleticism and academic honors. Lisa was an all american athlete in basketball and track. Lisa was inducted in the Inaugural Class of the Roswell High School Hall of Fame on October 17, 2013 as a result of her athletic achievements. Lisa received 9 varsity letters in basketball, track, and volleyball, was a 4 time MVP in girls basketball for 1977-1980, All-Time Leading Scorer for RHS girls basketball with 1,867 career points, the record for single game scoring vs Swainsboro High School (45 points) in a 1979 State AAA Tournament and vs. Marist (44 points) in 1980. Lisa was also a member of Naismith/Atlanta Tip-Off Club All- American in 1980, an MVP in track and holds the longest standing record for RHS track with a school record for high jump at 5’8” and was a National Junior Olympic Finalist for high jump. Lisa received a scholarship to the University of Georgia for the women’s basketball and track teams. Lisa was coached in basketball by UGA’s women’s coach Andy Landers, when she received recognition for being an All Time Letter Winner in 1981 and 1982. Post college, Lisa went on to marry her husband, Alan, where they welcomed their two daughters, Addison and Parker that were her whole world. Lisa later continued her fathers legacy as owner of Terry Parker’s Heirloom Iron Bed Company in historic Roswell, transitioning the vision to become Heirloom Luxury Linens and Home under her supervision. For those wishing to honor Lisa’s memory, in lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to North Point Community Church’s “Be Rich” Campaign or the Roswell High School Booster Club in Lisa’s name. Lisa Parker Clock, a beacon of kindness and love, will forever reside in our hearts. Her legacy, exemplified by her compassion, will continue to inspire and guide us. As we navigate the loss of her physical presence, we find comfort in knowing that their spirit lives on through the love she instilled in us. The family will be receiving guests on Sunday, September 8 from 1pm to 2:30 pm at Northside Chapel, Funeral Directors and Crematory in Roswell, GA, 12050 Crabapple Road, Roswell, GA.
