Lorena Elizabeth Goodlow

Mrs. Lorena Elizabeth Goodlow, age 36, of Hiram, Georgia. Passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022. Lorena was born on October 6, 1985 in Duluth, Georgia. The daughter of Author Roy Coleman Jr. and Theresa Marie Green Coleman Hughes. She moved to Roswell, Georgia for most of her childhood. As well as living in places such as Marietta and Chatsworth. During her younger age, she married and had two beautiful daughters, Caroline and Veronica Bartlett. Later, she married Floyde Goodlow to whom she had one more beautiful daughter, Jordan-Mae. With a very outgoing personality, and a fierce tenacity for survival from a troubled youth. With so many downs and few ups at the time, Lorena fought hard to survive in such an unfortunate situation. She worked on trying to become a better mother for her daughters while working on being better all around. She was a very stubborn woman and hard to convince. To some, what wasn’t shown was the love she actually had for many people in her life. She did love hard. Through all of life’s turbulences, she was unable to finish high school. However, due to her fighter spirit, she managed not only to get her G.E.D, but also obtained a nursing certificate. Lorena, wanted to be a caregiver, whether it be to her family or to someone else. That never fully worked out due to being squeamish, but those thoughts of wanting to help others never left her mind. Dubbing herself as a green-eyed, southern peach, she loved to swim. If she wasn’t swimming she was always up for camping. With an extreme fascination and love for horror, it only made sense for October (her birth month) to be her favorite time of year. What could be better than to have people come together on Halloween? She was always up for a good scare! Lorena, indeed, lived many lives inside a short life. We have learned so much and have grown through her life. Lorena is preceded in death by her father, Author Roy Coleman, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband, Floyde Goodlow; daughters, Veronica and Caroline Bartlett, and Jordan-Mae Goodlow; mother, Theresa Marie Green Coleman Hughes; sisters, Angel Hause and Faleena along with many friends whose life she had an impact in. A Celebration of Life for Lorena Goodlow will take place at 11 o’clock a.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Northside Chapel Funeral Home located 12050 Crabapple Road, Roswell, Georgia.
