Mr. Michael Spencer Brown

Mr. Michael Spencer Brown, age 71, of Roswell Georgia passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022. He was born on January 19, 1951 in Cartersville, GA, the son to the late Watson Spencer and Margaret Brown. Mike lived in the Atlanta area most of his life. He graduated from Cross Keys High School. He attended the University of Georgia, and was a member of the Lambda Chi fraternity until the loss of his mother called him home to help raise his brothers and sister. He met and married Faye Weaver of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. They enjoyed 50 years of marriage and were blessed with two sons and eight grandchildren. Mike worked in the Automotive Business in the Atlanta area for over 50 years as a parts manager. He was tough, loving and neatly organized both in his parts department and his home. He taught his sons this work ethic and it has followed them throughout their lives and even has been passed down to his grandchildren. He was an avid “Bulldog” fan and a lover of antiques. But music was his passion as he loved making music with his brother, Carlton, and with friends. He played his guitar in his church and Sunday school class. He loved picking his guitar and singing with his grandchildren. To know Mike was to love him. His best trait was his ability to connect with people of all kinds. When he loved he loved with his whole heart and knew how to be a real friend. He’d give you the shirt off his back and often did. Mike loved his family and friends and he will be sorely missed by us all. Along with his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his son, William Gibson Brown and his brother, Guerry Brown. He is survived by his beloved wife, Faye Brown; step-mother, Evelyn Oates; sister, Ellie Brown; son, Michael S. Brown Jr; daughter-in-law, Sara Brown; grandchildren; Lauren Brown and fiancé Brian Patterson, Riess Brown and fiancé Jacob Ziegler, Jakeh William Brown, Morgan Brown, Katie Brown, Eleora Brown, Liam Brown and Lilliana Brown. The visitation for Michael Spencer Brown will take place from 6:00pm until 9:00pm on Friday, September 23, 2022 at the Northside Chapel located at 12050 Crabapple Rd. Roswell, Ga. The graveside service to honor the life of Michael S. Brown will be at 2:00 pm at Mt. Oliver Baptist Church, 735 Hardscrabble Rd, Roswell, Ga, 30075.
