Mr. Andrew Stickney

December 22, 1963 - January 14, 2022

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Andrew Stickney, age 58, of Alpharetta, Georgia, from a cardiac event occurring at his home on January 14, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Juli-Ann, and their sons, Zachary and Drew. The family loved to travel together and all shared the same passion for Boston sports teams. Some of their fondest memories include attending the Patriots’ many Super Bowl wins and enjoying game days spent at the University of Alabama and the University of Georgia during Zach’s and Drew’s respective time at each school. Andy also loved being at the beach and hosting family and friends in Destin, Florida. Andy grew up in Augusta, Maine, and attended Cony High School, where he nurtured his love of basketball and considered himself fortunate to be part of some successful teams. He graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in accounting and earned his MBA from Suffolk University. After starting his banking career in Boston, he worked for the last 21 years in Atlanta, where he served as a Senior Vice President in Institutional Real Estate for KeyBank. Andy also took great pride in coaching youth sports and helping individuals reach their potential, while instilling an appreciation for teamwork. He was always willing to help anyone and guide them on a path to achieve success. He touched numerous lives and will be missed by many. Andy is preceded in death by his father, Maurice Stickney. He is also survived by his mother, Judy Stickney, of Augusta, ME; his brother, Mark Stickney, and wife Trisha of Cumberland Center, ME; his sister, Mary Jackson, and husband Rick of Augusta, ME; and his sister, Judy Morton, and husband Ted of Norway, ME. Additionally, he’s survived by many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Along with his dedication to his immediate family, Andy was very close with and loved all of his extended family members. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, January 19, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Northside Chapel, 12050 Crabapple Road, Roswell, GA. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 20, at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas, 535 Rucker Road, Alpharetta, GA. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Andy’s name to the American Diabetes Association via www.diabetes.org/?form=Donate or by mail at P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
