Mrs. Beverly Jane Crowe Sahnger

Beverly Sahnger, a longtime resident of Alpharetta, GA went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 4, 2017, exactly five years after being predeceased by her husband James P. Sahnger. She was born to Edward and Evelyn Crowe in Erlanger, KY on March 25, 1938, the middle child of five. She shared many happy memories of growing up in a very close and loving family. Beverly was a devout Catholic, and her strong faith in God carried her through many trials in life. She was a very intelligent and beautiful woman with an incredible sense of style and grace. She loved to have fun, dance, and laugh…family and friends have many wonderful memories to cherish! Bev was a devoted wife, offering tremendous love and support to Jim throughout their marriage, helping him to achieve great success in his career. Bev devoted her life to taking care of her family. She was an extraordinary homemaker and was unsurpassed in planning the most beautiful family and holiday celebrations. Her children and grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews adored Bev, and this very special lady will be greatly missed. Her legacy of love for family and faith in God will carry on in all the lives she has touched. This very special lady will be greatly missed. Bev is survived by her children, Kim (Dwight) Jeffrey, Kathy (Kevin) Cash, Jim Sahnger, and John Sahnger. Grandchildren Luke (Audra) Reed, Nathan Reed, Matthew Reed, Jonathan (Georgiana) Reed, Lauren (Robert) Burns, Karen (Matt) Butler, Ryan Cash, James Paul II, Olivia and Sterling Sahnger, John George Sahnger IV, Aubrey (Brian) Tubiak, Jennifer (Greg)Kellam. She is also survived by her siblings, Jack Crowe, Joe (Marion) Crowe, Patricia Lee and brother in law Jack Sahnger. In addition, she is survived by her great grandchildren, Luke, Providence & Hampton Reed, twins Elias & Nadia Reed, Adelyne, Lawson, Vinleigh, Chapel & Beckham Burns, Quinton Butler, Barrett Tubiak, Ava & Emma Kellam,and many adored nieces and nephews. Bev was preceded in death by her sister Marilyn Kolkmeier of Cincinnati, Ohio. Our family would like to express our appreciation to Homestead Hospice, with our greatest thanks to Latonya & Dawn who treated our mom with the utmost respect, and tender loving care. The Memorial Mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 535 Rucker Rd., Alpharetta, GA 30004 at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15. It will be followed by visitation and a luncheon in the church hall from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Veterans Cemetery Rd., Canton, GA 30114 on Friday, June 16 at 1:00 p.m., where she will be put to rest beside her beloved husband. Bev was a graduate of Holy Cross High School in Covington, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her honor to Holy Cross Alumni Association, 3617 Church St., Covington, KY 41015.
