Linda Lee Milstead

Linda L. Milstead, 55, of Woodstock, GA, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Ms. Milstead was born in Port Jefferson, Long Island, New York, on July 11, 1954, the daughter of William R. Tugend and the late Mary Tugend of Toccoa, GA. On July 6, 1973, she married Howard N. Milstead in West Hollywood, FL. In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Howard E. and Carrie of Charlotte, NC; step-son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Anna Reasons of Humboldt, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wendy and Jim Larkin of Canton, NC; Cindy and Bryan Dick of Yamhill, OR; Tammy Holly of Deland, FL. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Caitlyn of Charlotte, NC and Lucas, Joshua and Kayla of Humboldt, TN., and many nieces and nephews and friends. Linda was a Senior Sales Operation Manager at AT&T. Linda was a member of Crabapple First Baptist Church in Milton, GA. Linda’s love of her Lord, family, church, employer and co-workers showed though her 110% commitment in all that she attempted whether it was a large, complex project at work, playing multiple instruments in the church orchestra and Hand Bells, planting more flowers to beautify her home landscaping, shopping for her husband, sons, daughters-in-law and especially her grandchildren, but most of all exhibiting and expressing to family, friends and strangers her love for her Lord and what He had done for her and the bountiful blessings he has provided through His love and mercy. She not only talked the talk, but walked the walk. We were all blessed by her life for the short time God gave her to us. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Crabapple First Baptist Church, 12760 Birmingham Hwy., Milton, GA with Rev. Jerry Dockery officiating. A private grave-side service for family members will follow in Roselane Cemetery, Toccoa, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 19, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors, 12050 Crabapple Rd., Roswell, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Crabapple First Baptist Church designated to either the Missions Fund or the Music Ministry.
