Mary Weber Fink

Mary Weber Fink, 89, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, left this world to join her Savior on March 29th. Wife to husband Bob for almost 70 years she will be remembered to the younger generations of how to truly live and love. Born in the Bronx, where she met her future husband, Mary became a southerner when Bob’s job brought him south. Whether spending blessed summer vacations at Gramps’ Place with extended family or just the small, everyday moments she cherished, Mary—lovingly known as Mamere, was the matriarch and glue of the family. Her love of travel and deep faith were so joyfully passed on to the younger generations. Many of the things she did in life were driven by faith and the love of the Lord and she embraced the peace her faith brought to her. Mary was a lifelong member of St. Jude’s Catholic Apostolic Church, where her infectious spirit resulted in equally lifelong friends. Mary leaves behind her adoring husband, Robert “Bob” Fink, Sr.; children Laura Nix (David), Donna Vassil, Robert Fink, Jr. (Suzanne), and Elizabeth Griffin (Bill); grandchildren Alex Nix, Alyssa Nix, Matthew Vassil, Will Griffin, Sarah Fink, James Griffin, Robert Fink III, Anna Swindle, Andrew Griffin, and Grayson Nix; great grandchildren; and close sisters Bette Olig (Matt), Carol Lyons, and Judith Jones (Patrick). They will miss her giggles, her stories, and her unforgettable hugs. The family is comforted knowing that Mary is reunited with those who went before her, including her grandson Brandon Vassil, her brother Joseph Weber, and her parents Florence and John Weber. They offer their sincere thanks to the staff at St. George Village, and to Ruth Brooks, for their care and compassion over the past several years. A funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 15th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church in Roswell, GA. In honor of Mary’s memory, hug your loved ones a little harder and thank God for your blessings.
