Mr. Ralph Kalajian

Ralph Harris Kalajian, age 83, of Woodstock, Georgia, formerly of Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully on the morning of January 1, 2022 with his loving family by his side. Ralph was born in February 1938 to Harry J. and Dorothy Kalajian. He is the older brother to Katherine Deborah Kalajian who preceded him in death in 1968. Ralph H. Kalajian is survived by wife Vartouhi (Rose), their 3 children, Andrew (Sherrie) Kalajian, John (Kimberly) Kalajian, and Katherine (Michael) Kudla. Ralph and Rose have been blessed with nine Grandchildren, Mallory Kalajian, Drew Kalajian, Alexandra Ishak, Zach Ishak, Danielle (Andrew) Woodring, Katie (Anthony) Cammarata, Amber Kalajian, Erin Kudla, Ian Kudla, and two Great-Grandchildren Luke and Eliza Woodring, all of whom he loved dearly. Ralph met Rose at church school when they were 14 years old and have been best friends ever since; a beautiful example to all of what a marriage should be. Ralph was a devoted husband and engaged father, whose work history included being a draftsman, later starting his own title insurance agency, and after retirement teaching driver’s education. His children, grandchildren, employees, and students all benefitted from the many life-lessons Ralph was eager to share. Outside of work and family, Ralph was very generous with his time. He was a Past-Master of his Masonic Lodge, a 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite, and helped many children get life changing surgical procedures as a hard working member of the Shriner’s crippled children’s committee. Ralph loved playing multiple sports especially racketball and fishing and enjoyed numerous hobbies, including making dollhouses for all of his granddaughters. However, what he loved most of all was his wife, Rose. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 3:30pm until 7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Alpharetta, GA on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming, GA.
