Mrs. Ruth Agnes Maher

Born to eternal life on May 5, 2016 at the age of 91. Devoted wife of her late husband Patrick for 64 years. Ruth and Patrick's legacy will continue on through their 4 daughter's, 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Ruth was the beloved mother of Kathleen (Gary) Poindexter, Maureen (Michael) Dailey, Pauline Bohmann and Jeannine Maher. Grandmother of: Matthew Poindexter, Theresa (Scott) Riggs, Francis (Kelly) Poindexter, Jean-Marie Poindexter, Katherine (Scot) Kenyon, Michael (Patricia) Dailey, Patrick (Judith) Dailey, Robert (Mary) Dailey, Deborah Bohmann (Troy Stein), David (Katie) Bohmann and Sarah (Jason) Ball. Great grandmother of: Eric and Madison Poindexter, Jacob, Ian, Tristan and Rowen Riggs, Katie-Linn Clement, Isabell Poindexter, Elizabeth Bernards, William and Corinne Kenyon, James and Philip Dailey, Colin and Rebecca Dailey, Noelle, Tessa and Penelope Stein, Levi, Benjamin and Samuel Bohmann, Daphne and Charles Ball. She is also survived by her sisters, Lois (late Bill) Morrison, JoAnne (Frank) Maine and Mary (late Armin) Raebel along with other family and close friends. Visitation will be at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church (11330 Woodstock Road, Roswell, Georgia) on May 11th from 2:00 to 3:00pm. The funeral mass will follow at 3:00pm. Scripture Service and Interment on Friday, May 13th at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum (7301 W. Nash Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin). Visitation from 10:00am to 11:00am. Scripture service at 11:00am. Ruth was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated from Rufus King High School and married her true love Patrick at age 19. Ruth and Patrick raised four daughters in Milwaukee. Ruth retired after working for 20 years as a bookkeeper for the Law Firm of Gibbs, Roper, Loots and Williams. Hobbies and interests included shopping, reading novels, doing crossword puzzles, knitting afghans for her children and grandchildren. Following her husband's death, Ruth lived with her daughter Jeannine in Alpharetta, Georgia until her death on May 5th. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Peter Chanel Church, Roswell, Georgia or St. Anne's Salvatorian Campus, Milwaukee, Wisconsin are most appreciated.
